without the participation of chess players of commonwealth countries ( imagine, spragget, thipsay, barua, murshed, rogers, kunte, ramesh (the last two were the winners of the ch., ), the British championship has lost its lustre!

Short had a conflict with the Xtracon Open (which incidentally we just published a report about: http://en.chessbase.com/post/jobava-wins-xtracon-in-extraordinary-fashion).
