11/7/2022 – FIDE is happy to confirm the dates and the venue for the World Rapid and Blitz Championships 2022. The prestigious event will take place in Almaty, Kazakhstan's largest metropolis, set in the foothills of the Trans-Ili Alatau mountains. The event is made possible thanks to the agreement with Freedom Finance, which becomes a General Sponsor of the event.
