An amazing move

To sacrifice a piece in the endgame often requires to overcome a mental barrier - after all, in this phase of the game you do not have much pieces left and usually take extra care to keep them. Therefore, piece sacrifices in the endgame often come as surprise. The following might well be the most famous example of such a paradoxical and beautiful sacrifice.
