Rustam Kasimdzhanov is considered to be one of the best opening experts in the world. He helped Vishy Anand in several World Championship matches, he was opening trainer of the German National team that surprisingly won the European Championship 2011, and now he supports Fabiano Caruana, currently number two in the world, to get closer and closer to Magnus Carlsen.

In almost all openings Kasimdzhanov knows a lot of recipes and ideas. If you want to play the openings better, watch his DVDs. As a little Christmas treat today we offer a video in which Kasimdzhanov recommends a repertoire for White against the Slav.
