Robert Ris: "I have a look at a crushing victory for White in the game Murzin-Sjugirov. In a typical Catalan structure, White gave up his bishop pair for a nice control of the centre, allowing him to build up a dangerous attack via the half-open g-file.

The new World Rapid Champion played an absolute masterpiece and crushed his opponent (a former 2700 player) in just 27 moves."

He is also a well-known ChessBase author who produced numerous DVDs and regularly contributes to ChessBase Magazine as well. Since 2015 he is the organizer of the Dutch Rapid Championships in his home town Amstelveen. He has started a YouTube channel with chess analysis as well.
