Faustino Oro is in third place with 5 points but still has a chance to overtake the Mexican. The match between Pepe Cuenca and Diego Flores will determine who finishes fifth and who finishes last. Anton Guijarro can clinch the tournament victory against Ivan Sokolov. From September 7 to 12, the “Legends and Prodigies” tournament will take place in Madrid. The six players in the Legends & Prodigies tournament will face each other twice over ten rounds. A single round was played on Monday, 7 September, followed by double rounds from 8 to 11 September (at 11:00 and 17:00 each day). The final round is scheduled for Saturday, 12 September.

The time control is 60 minutes plus a 30-second increment from move one. The tournament has been approved by FIDE, so the games will count towards the standard rating list. FIDE allows selected tournaments to test shorter standard time controls under conditions established by its Qualification Commission.
