Fritz 17 - The giant PC chess program, now with Fat Fritz
The most popular chess program offers you everything you will need as a dedicated chess enthusiast, with innovative training methods for amateurs and professionals alike.
The FIDE Online Olympiad is a rich source of interesting games and tough battles. One of the most fascinating games, the game we will study in the 427th edition of the show, was played between Danyyl Dvirnyy (Italy) and Alexei Shirov (Spain). In the first part of the game, it was actually White who had the upper hand, but halfway into the struggle, the legend from Riga managed to grab the initiative and do what he does best.
Warming-up question: What would you play here with White?

Fascinated by the French Winawer
The Winawer Variation in just 60 minutes - that can only work by reducing it to a clear repertoire for Black and, where possible, general recommendations rather than variations. Alexei Shirov was surprised at how quickly he managed to make of the French Winawer an opening he himself could play. And now he will let you share in his conclusions.
