1/21/2019 – Perfect endgame analysis and a much better engine performance: the new Endgame Turbo 5 is more than perfect! It comes on an USB 3.0 flash drive (128 GB), covers the most important six piece endgames, all endgames with less than six pieces, and helps top engines such as Fritz, Komodo Chess and Houdini to play these endgames perfectly. Here's a short tutorial on how to install the Endgame Turbo and set up the tablebases. | Drawing: ChessBase
7/26/2018 – Summer time is holiday time. But not all chess players use their holidays to play in a summer open. If you pursue other interests but still want to keep in shape you might want to turn to the playchess.com WebApp. It offers a good way to play on your iPhone, smartphone, tablet or IPad, etc.
6/12/2018 – Tactics are fun and solving tactics puzzles improves your chess. The search mask of ChessBase and Fritz allows you to quickly find games with sacrifices. And that's only one of the many options for this tool! | Drawing: ChessBase
5/22/2018 – In the last few months, we have published a number of "Special Powerbooks" for various openings, e.g. for the London System, the French Defence or the Nimzo-Indian. These Powerbooks are very popular, which is no real surprise because they contain lots of information that you will not find elsewhere. Moreover, with Fritz 16, the opening trees and statistics in the Powerbooks are ideal to practise your repertoire. | Photo: ChessBase
