Gerd Densing and is an avid club and tournament chess player and likes to participate in tournaments near his home, the Eifel. If possible, he also uses international chess tournaments to get to know the country and its people. Since 2009, he has recorded many impressions in words and pictures in many reports on the ChessBase news page. Full-time, he works in a district savings bank.

3/6/2018 – The Gamma Reykjavik Open 2018 is all about Robert Fischer, who would have turned 75 this year. In Reykjavik he celebrated his greatest success, and he's also buried in Iceland.
