This is going to be a bit of work for you. During the European Championships in Silivri, Turkey, we published games, results, tactical positions, and pictures. Lots and lots of pictures, of the players at work and at play.
We now want you to revisit our reports and decide: who are your favourites amongst the 207 men and 115 women who did battle at the championships.
Below you will find a list of all reports and links you will need to choose your favourites. There is also a final picture gallery with shots we did not use in previous reports. You are sure to find some players there you have not seen before.
At the end of this page you will find full information on how to submit your entry. There are interesting prizes to be won: autographed pictures from your favourite players. You have until July 7 to submit your nominations.

To nominate your five favourite players from the 4th European Individual Chess Championships in Silivri, Turkey you should use a special entry form. All entries must be received before July 7, 2003. (Voting has now closed).
From all entries we receive we will select five winners by lots. The winners will not be selected at random only on the basis of their participation, not on the basis of their choice of favourites. The order in which the solutions are received is irrelevant. Do not send multiple entries. If more than two are received from any single person they will all be ignored.
As prizes we will attempt to get autographed pictures, books or other memorabilia of your favourite player. These will be distributed some weeks after the end of the competition.
Please give your full name and place of residence. Without this your entry cannot be considered. We reserve the right to quote your commentary on this web site, in full or abridged, with your name and place of residence given. If you supply information on your professional status that might also be used.
