After eight rounds of the European Individual Championships in the men's group there is a five-way tie for the lead: Konstantin Sakaev 2664 RUS, Zurab Azmaiparashvili 2678 GEO, Aleksej Aleksandrov 2650 BLR 6, Kiril Georgiev 2647 MKD and Vladimir Malakhov 2672 RUS, each with six points.
They are followed by 17 players with 5.5 points each.
