12/4/2022 – The Tata Steel Chess India event took place from November 29 to December 4 at the National Library of India in Kolkata. An open tournament and a women’s event were played concurrently, with the same format and the same prize fund. A rapid and a blitz section took place, with ten players per tournament.

12/3/2022 – After Nihal Sarin and Anna Ushenina claimed titles in the rapid tournaments of the Tata Steel Chess India event, the 2-day blitz section kicked off on Saturday. The women’s tournament saw Mariya Muzychuk having a blasting start, as she scored 8/9 points to grab a commanding lead. 12/2/2022 – The 9-round rapid tournaments — open and women’s — at the Tata Steel India Chess event came to an end on Thursday. Nihal Sarin had a dominating performance in the open, securing first place with a round to spare after collecting back-to-back wins over Shakhriyar Mamedyarov and Parham Maghsoodloo. 12/1/2022 – Day 2 of the Tata Steel India Chess event once again finished with sole leaders in both tournaments. 11/27/2022 – Top International Grandmasters, top Indian men and women Grandmasters, young Indian talents and Viswanathan Anand — as the ambassador and advisor of the tournament — will enrich the fourth edition of the Tata Steel Chess Tournament. For the first time, a women’s tournament will be played with the same format and the same prize fund. The tournament will take place from November 29 to December 4 in Kolkata.
