Game of the Week: Lucas van Foreest vs Erik van den Doel

by Merijn van Delft
7/10/2019 – This week's training show covers another key game from the Dutch Championship featuring the ultimate winner Lucas van Foreest. The live show is free to watch, and available on-demand for ChessBase Premium account holders (but FREE for a limited time!). To chat, please visit videos.chessbase.com/live or login via Playchess for Windows. Merijn is on-demand this week starting at 18:00 UTC (20:00 CEST / 2 PM EDT).

Always wanted to play like a World Champion? Search no further! With Magnus Carlsen using the Sveshnikov variation as his weapon of choice in the World Championship match against Fabiano Caruana, this DVD could not be better timed.

Game of the Week 370

Last week we had a look at the perfect start of Jorden van Foreest at the Dutch Championship. While Jorden kept leading the tournament all the way, his younger brother Lucas van Foreest started catching up by winning one game after the other and eventually they shared first place. Together with my good friend IM Alex Wohl from Australia I had a look at the last round encounter Lucas van Foreest vs Erik van den Doel.

The live show is free to watch, and available on-demand for ChessBase Premium accounts.
