In the first round of the European Club Cup, Indian youngster Nihal Sarin played a nice attacking game against Croatian GM Marin Bosiocic.
Against the Ragozin, White chose the flexible 5.e3, leading to positions familiar from the Nimzo-Indian Rubinstein Variation. The setup with a knight on e5 supported by pawns on d4 and f4 is rather uncomfortable for Black and allows White to launch a powerful attack.
In this week's episode of the Fast & Furious show several thematic attack ideas are discussed in detail!
Exercise: White has just sacrificed its knight on c3. Do you see Nihal's idea? White to play!
