Magnus Carlsen managed to win the World Rapid & Blitz, but in this first episode of the year we have a look at another Norwegian star. Johan-Sebastian Christiansen managed to defeat two top grandmasters on the same day with essentially the same opening trap.

Both Anton and Gukesh were unfamiliar with a popular line in the Caro-Kann main line with 4...Nf6 5.Nxf6 exf6 and ran into a powerful piece sacrifice which leads to immense problems for Black.

He is also a well-known ChessBase author who produced numerous DVDs and regularly contributes to ChessBase Magazine as well. Since 2015 he is the organizer of the Dutch Rapid Championships in his home town Amstelveen. He has started a YouTube channel with chess analysis as well.
