Robert Ris: "This week I have a closer look at a spectacular queen sacrifice against the English Opening. I was sitting next to the game Hampel-Kuzubov, Wolfsburg 2024 and was glad to see that Black opted for a variation that I do recommend on my course A Complete Black Repertoire against 1.Nf3 & 1.c4.

In the game White returned the gift immediately but never found sufficient compensation for the pawn and lost without a chance."

Exercise: Black to play and win!
