Robert Ris: "I have a look at the last round game of the Elllobregat Open between Shevchenko and Chopra, which featured a piece sacrifice in a well-known of the Panov Variation in the Caro-Kann. A novelty on move 17 brings some new life into this variation. Although Black is still doing fine there, it turned out that Black's position is practically difficult to handle."

Exercise: Black is aiming for the exchange of queens, but do you see how White keeps the attack alive?

Feel free to move the pieces on the live diagram!
