The Croatian number 1 played a very instructive model game against Nijat Abasov in the Sicilian Four Knights, introducing a relevant novelty on move 12 (improving upon two earlier games by Magnus Carlsen in 2006/2007). His Azeri opponent didn't manage to find a good antidote and found himself under pressure. Saric had no difficulties directing his pieces towards the black king and when all the pieces were on good squares he launched the decisive strike.
