This week I am covering the game Jorden van Foreest against Radoslaw Wojtaszek, which features the Steenwijker Variation of the Ruy Lopez, a line which was tested in the 1st game of the World Championship match earlier this year.

Jorden seemed to be very well prepared and played very ambitiously and managed to put his opponent under pressure from the very start. A very impressive game by the Dutchman as he didn't give Wojtaszek a chance at all!

Exercise: How does White continue to fight for the initiative?
