Awarded the Grandmaster title in 2005, Mykhaylo Oleksiyenko has achieved significant victories, including winning the Ukrainian Chess Championship in 2016 and the Rapid Chess Championship of Ukraine in 2014. He has extensive coaching experience, having guided national teams such as Ukraine, Egypt, and the Netherlands. 

Oleksiyenko also hold a Ph.D. in mathematics.
