11/5/2023 – The FIDE Grand Swiss is taking place on the Isle of Man from October 25 to November 11. An open event and a women’s event are being played concurrently. Both tournaments are 11-round Swiss opens with classical time controls. Round 11

The FIDE Grand Swiss and the FIDE Women’s Grand Swiss are 11-round Swiss opens with a time control of 100 minutes for the first 40 moves, followed by 50 minutes for the next 20 moves, followed by 15 minutes for the rest of the game, with a 30-second increment from the first move.

In both tournaments, two spots in the 2024 Candidates Tournaments are up for grabs

According to the tournament regulations, the first tiebreak criterion for players with the same number of points is the Average Rating of Opponents Cut 1 (AROC 1), which means the rating of a player’s lowest-rated opponent is discarded in the calculation.
