A big prize fund, Cramling looks to cross 2100
Well-known chess streamer Anna Cramling - the daughter of GMs Pia Cramling and Juan Manuel Bellón - will play a six-game classical match against Odin Vea, co-host of the Sjakksnakk podcast, from 22 to 24 May. The event will be held at Svarta Hästen, a chess bar in Stockholm, and will be broadcast live on Cramling's Twitch channel.
The match, organised in collaboration with Sjakksnakk and sponsored by Neuro, will have a total prize fund of $10,000. The games will be played at a classical time control of 60 minutes for the whole game, with a 30-second increment from move one. The schedule will begin with one game on Friday, followed by two games on Saturday and three games on Sunday.

For Cramling, the match has an additional sporting objective. She is aiming to cross the 2100 rating mark. The Swedish-Spanish WFM reached a peaked rating of 2175 in March 2018. Vea, a 42-year-old Norwegian chess content creator, will be her opponent.
The venue, Svarta Hästen, is described as Sweden's first chess bar. It was opened in 2023 by chess enthusiast Joel Ighe in central Stockholm and has become a meeting point for players of different levels. The bar combines regular chess activity with a wine-bar setting and is designed to accommodate both players and walk-in guests.
Its interior includes custom-made chess tables created by Gothenburg furniture maker and artist Kim Björnson. The venue is built in elm wood, with yellow-and-red chessboards and weighted pieces among its distinctive features.
