7/22/2014 – When fighting against a rook in the endgame, knights are often surprisingly clumsy. Thus, one would think a single knight stands no chance at all against the queen, even if a couple of pawns offer help. But, as Karsten Müller shows, a lot depends on the position of the king. If king and knight are true friends, surprising things can happen.
