Master Class Vol.8: Magnus Carlsen
Scarcely any world champion has managed to captivate chess lovers to the extent Carlsen has. The enormously talented Norwegian hasn't been systematically trained within the structures of a major chess-playing nation such as Russia, the Ukraine or China.
The Candidates remains very exciting, as a few hours ago the second place Vachier-Lagrave beat Nepomniachtchi in their direct encounter to move into a tie at the top. Interestingly, they played a variation of the French Winawer that I have been analysing extensively with a few friends on Ibiza in 2019, so I will be able to show some hidden points.
