The idea is not new of course, but it might shock you to know the very first case of surreptitiously using a computer in a game against a grandmaster dates all the way back to 1980. 10/26/2022 – Day 1 of the Women’s Candidates saw two decisive games (out of two), as Lei Tingjie and Humpy Koneru defeated Mariya and Anna Muzychuk respectively, both with the white pieces. 10/25/2022 – Last week the 25th Hoogeveen Chess Festival celebrated chess again - with matches and tournaments. Local hero Lucas von Foreest won his match against Luke McShane and Daniel Dardha from Belgium won his match against Max Warmerdam. 10/25/2022 – The World Junior Championships in Sardinia ended on Saturday with a double success for players from Azerbaijan. In the Open, the 18th seed IM Abdulla Gadimbayli (photo) finished with 8.0/11 and shared first place with four other players but won the tournament on tiebreak.
