Game of the Week #651
While rapid and blitz are very exciting forms of chess to entertain a live audience, nothing beats a good classical game of chess.
One of the most creative contemporary grandmasters is David Paravyan and in the fifth round of the Qatar Masters he created a positional masterpiece versus WGM Nandhidhaa.
The funny thing is that the most artistic moves of the game where objectively speaking far from the best ones, but in the end it all added up to a rare piece of beauty.

This week's show
In this opening Black opts for active piece play and is not afraid to fight for the initiative from an early stage. One of the many good features of this opening is that Black is often the side which controls the pace of the game.
