Udo Nouvertne is a Qualified Sociologist by training. He studied in Nürnberg & Bielefeld, with a focus on Criminal Sociology, and has published on diverse topics such as poverty, mental illness and homelessness.
From 1989 to 2005 he was a chess player in the chess clubs SV Bornheim Frankfurt, OTV 88 Solingen, and SG Solingen. A licensed trainer (C License) and "Schulschachpatent" (certificate for training in schools), he continues to work as youth trainer, although he is no longer an active player. The focus of his current work is the relevance of endgame studies for the theoretical and practical endgame / instructional value of endgame studies.
