6/18/2023 – Day 7 of the Armageddon Series in Berlin will decide the winner of the week-long extravaganza. Richard Rapport defeated Jan-Krzysztof Duda to reach the Grand Final from the upper bracket. Duda, however, will get a second chance, as he faces Maxime Vachier-Lagrave in the final match of the lower bracket. 4/9/2023 – “Armageddon Championship Series: Asia & Oceania”, the second event of the cycle developed by World Chess, is taking place on April 3-9 in Berlin. 3/12/2023 – The last day of play at the Armageddon Series Championship Series in Berlin again promises exciting blitz and frantic chess: Sam Shankland faces Andrew Tang to decide who will play Wesley So in the tournament’s final, which will take place right after that match is over. In both matches, two blitz games will be played; in case of a 1-1 tie, an Armageddon game will follow. Start: 19.00 CET. 3/8/2023 – Those who love spectacle and drama got their money's worth on Day 2 of the Armageddon Championship Series in Berlin. Especially in the match between Andrew Tang (pictured) and Leinier Dominguez, which Tang won in Armageddon. At the end of the game he had one second left on the clock, while Dominguez had spent all his time. In the second match of the day Jose Martinez prevailed against Ray Robson. | Foto: World Chess

3/7/2023 – The first quarter-finals of the Americas group of the World Chess Armageddon series were played on Monday. The venue is the World Chess Club Unter den Linden in Berlin. Wesley So won against Sam Shankland and Renato Terry prevailed in the Armageddon against Eric Hansen. The losers continue in the elimination group. | Photo: World Chess

2/22/2023 – Berlin will host two tournaments of the Armageddon Series. In March, the continental tournament for North and South America will be held here, with Wesley So among others. In September, Berlin is also the venue for the grand Armageddon finale.
