4/24/2020 – The World Senior Team Championships 2020 in Prague took place in March but due to the coronavirus it ended prematurely after seven of the nine rounds initially planned had been played. The USA won, the third year in a row. But the winning team with its grandmaster line-up was not the only team from the USA. 3/14/2020 – The World Senior Team Championships in Prague ended prematurely, Thursday, after 7 rounds due to the looming Coronavirus epidemic. In the 50+ tournament, the favoured USA team lived up to expectations by winning with a full point margin. The top 65+ team, Russia, also took top honours, but only on better board point tiebreak over the second-placed French. 2/4/2020 – For the first time, the World Senior Team Chess Championship will be held in the Czech Republic. Four-member teams with one reserve player can participate in categories 50+ or 65+ of age. Women's teams will be ranked separately. The prize fund of the whole event is 10,000 EUR. | Official site
