Switching off background analysis

Answer

At critical moments of a game the Fritz 16 client for the chess server inserts in the game notation training questions and analyses which are displayed when the game is played though later and which offer valuable tips at the said critical moments in the game.

These analyses are generated by engines which are stored locally on the user’s computer. If you value the resources of your computer not being used for such analysis (e.g. if your battery pack is weak or the hardware configuration is generally not so good) then you can deactivate this background analysis.

Menu File – Options – Games starts the setup dialog.

In the dialog deactivate the setting “Live analysis of played games” to stop the analysis.
