Playchess background analysis

Answer

When you play a game on the chess server with the Fritz client, it is being analysed in the background by Fritz. At critical moments in the game the program inserts training questions and variations which are displayed when you play through the game.

Is this analysis generated locally, i.e. by engines on your computer, or by the server? The analyses are always produced locally. In order to ensure that things run smoothly, the computer must have at least three cores and may not be powered by battery/battery pack. When either of the latter is in use operations which require a lot of calculation, such as e.g. analysis, are suppressed in favour of longer battery running time.

Background analysis cannot be deactivated via the program options.
