Fritz 16 and the latest Playchess client for the chess server come with a new starting screen which makes easier access to the most important functions.

In rare cases it can happen that the starting screen is not displayed and that instead you get only a white surface instead. Should this be the case, please check whether you have chosen the setting for classic design under Windows. The classic design resembles to a great extent the presentation of previous versions of Windows such as, e.g., Windows NT or Windows 95.

Solution: Change to one of the more recent Windows designs. That should solve the display problem.
