Clarify ideas with Null moves

Answer

With ChessBase 17 you can enter several moves in a row without countermoves within the notation for one page. This can be helpful to clarify certain ideas/continuations.

The procedure in the board window is simple.

Menu Insert - Null move.

If you prefer to work with hotkeys, press Ctrl+Alt+0 at the same time.

In principle, there are now two possible applications in practice.

If you want to enter several moves in succession for a page without a countermove, execute the desired move, select zero move again and enter the next move. You can continue this as you wish.

For example, if you have made a regular move for White and then want to enter another move for White without a countermove, then set a null move for the subsequent move.
