If you frequently perform a certain search query, you should use the option to permanently save these search queries within the advanced search and load them again when needed. This saves a lot of time for frequently used searches and gives you more time for chess training.

The easiest way to start the search dialog is to right-click on a Database icon - Search and start the advanced search dialog. Define the search criteria. Alternatively, you can also perform the search within a game list.

Click on the "Save" button in the search dialog. The file dialog will now be displayed where you can save the search settings.

The file extension for the search files is *.dbsearch, the default path for storing the search criteria is in the "SearchMask" subdirectory in the user directory.

Make sure that a meaningful name is selected for the designation, so that the overview remains guaranteed with many entries.

Via the button "Load" in the search mask you can reload the predefined search query and then apply it to the search in the selected database! This applies to all possible criteria of the search mask.

The save option should be interesting especially for chess friends who often search for certain material - or position constellations with the program. The possibility to permanently save and reload these search criteria saves precious time.

In the File menu, under Open, there is now also the option to load predefined search masks directly.
