The Replay training

Answer

In the notation window you will find the tab "Replay training". With this function you can switch off the usual notation overview and are animated by the program to determine the game continuations independently. The intention of this function is that the user deals with the game independently and thus more intensively according to the motto "learning by doing", resulting in a better learning effect.

When you click on the function, the display of the notation window changes.

The window will show you which color you should guess (it can even be both if you want) and whether you want hints or not. In the upper part of the window you can set the form in which the program should provide support during the replay. For example, should hints be given or do you only want to guess the white moves? You can activate this support by clicking on it. You can always call up the hints by clicking on the corresponding button.

In the lower section you will find a colored bar that shows you the rating of a chess engine (i.e. white wins) and the calculation depth that the engine has calculated (in the example 17 half moves).

Below that, there is a small window that contains direct information about the moves you have chosen and their evaluation in comparison with the moves in the notation and the best calculated engine move.

After just a few practical attempts at use, the system is almost self-explanatory.

This form of replay training can be applied by the user both to complete games and to selected positions.

Since the program gives the user almost constant feedback on the attempts, the learning-training effect is enormous!
