Repertoire Tip

Answer

Mastering a well-structured opening repertoire is essential for any ambitious player. You can manage your repertoire online with ChessBase, but the possibilities of automated repertoire support complement this feature perfectly. How can you quickly create databases relevant to your opening repertoire with the ChessBase database program?

The first step is to select the menu item Report - Generate Repertoire Database from the start screen (database window).

In the dialog below, the program asks for the data base (database) to be used for generating the repertoire.

Select the desired database in the subsequent dialog.

The program creates a repertoire for white and black. Open the database in 2cbh or Cbh format and then click Report White.

The program shows you all games that are relevant for your own opening repertoire. You can now comfortably view these and transfer suitable variations directly into the existing online repertoire with one click.
