Engine settings

Answer

Question: I use Fritz 18 and CB 17 - using CB - I am able to set the parameters of my selected chess engine. For example the core count etc. Everytime I use an alternative engine in Fritz, such as SF or Komodo - I have to change the engine's parametes manually.

Is there a way to set these, so each time I use Fritz 18 - the parameters are auto-loaded? I understand I can load a param file for the engine manually - but do not wish to do this.

Answer: No this possibility does not exist. You always have to load the changed settings of the chess engine manually, e.g. from the predefined settings. The program always starts with the best possible conditions. The resources sent by the operating system are checked and then the engine is loaded with the appropriate settings.

The reason for this is to avoid that the software delivers bad analysis results with disadvantageous settings.
