Problem: since a few days I have some performance problems under Chessbase 17 with the engines included in the program. When I compare the performance under the Fritz 18 interface with that under Chessbase 17, the performance under the database program drops significantly.
The problem occurs with different engines. In the task manager you can see that not even one CPU core is really utilized. Do you know this problem and if so, what can I do about it?
Answer: This problem occurs when the user has deactivated the option "Intelligent CPU usage". This can be set in the loading dialog for the engines under "Advanced".
The user can set or change the number of CPUs to be used in the dialog at any time.
