Question: I accidentally deleted the Bases directory with the downloaded games. Then I reinstalled the Megabase again. It cannot be updated (New games...), because I already downloaded the updates before I deleted the Megabase (status "downloaded"). Can I somehow reset the status or download the data again?
Answer: The games can not be downloaded only once. You can simply mark the games you want to download and then click "Download selected entries".
Downloading of games can be done in the following steps:
1. after logging in to the update server, select the game update you want to download (left-click or shift-left-click for multiple selection).
2. in the next step click on "Load selected entries" in the upper menu.
3. now the program collects all marked updates, which takes a while depending on your computer speed. Please wait for this step and do not start any other actions.
4. finally the dialog box "select database" appears, where you can choose if the games should be attached to the reference database or if the games should remain as single databases. If desired, you can also select another database in this dialog by clicking on the three dots and then specifying a database in the Windows selection dialog that appears.
5. click on OK then starts the import process.
Important: Appending the updates to a large database such as the Mega Database can take quite a long time, depending on the computer speed, due to the classification!
Tip: it is recommended to perform both processes. So first attach the data to the Mega and then later get single databases again. This has the advantage that one has all update databases clearly once again in a folder on the hard disk.
These are automatically stored in the folder Download - Subscription.
