Question: I use ChessBase to enter game notations from books and magazines. Occasionally a move is entered incorrectly. Is it possible to correct the mistake with the correct move without deleting and re-entering the following moves?
Answer: The correction is possible, not only with the database program, but also with our chess programs. In the game notation, go to the move you want to replace with another move. Now enter the correct move with the CTRL key pressed and the following dialog will appear:
Select the "Insert" option and the desired move will be inserted within the notation. The subsequent moves are - as far as plausible - retained by the program, i.e. taken over.
