Question: all of a sudden the new clear search mask of ChessBase 17 is no longer available to me. When I select a database symbol and then want to start the search, the complex search mask always appears. How can I reactivate the new, easy to use search mask?

Answer: under ChessBase 17 the new search mask is activated by default.

The search dialog looks like this:

In the dialog there is the entry " Always advanced dialog ".If this was activated, the new mask is ignored and always the extended more complex search mask is started.

You can reactivate the new search mask via the menu item Maintenance - Factory settings.
