The best and easiest way to see the number of moves is in the game list of a database. Start the game list with a double click. There you will find the column entry " Moves ".

By clicking on the column entry, the games are displayed in ascending-descending order according to the number of moves within the games.

In this context there is another useful information, which can be called by column entry. However, this must be activated beforehand.

Right-click on the list header to display all available column entries related to the game list. Activate the entry " Show Line moves " here.

In the column entry "Line moves" you can immediately see the number of all moves within the variants.

This allows you, for example, to quickly filter games from the database that have been particularly intensively annotated with variants.
