Let's assume you have studied a certain type of endgame intensively and are now looking for suitable comparison games with a similar type of endgame.

You can find suitable games in a flash, starting from the current board position. Click on Menu Report - Similar endgames.

This will search the reference database for games with an identical material ratio, a pawn structure as similar as possible and a piece position as similar as possible. With the help of these criteria you can quickly find suitable training positions.

Before the search mask is displayed, here the user can refine the search. For example, under game data you could limit the search to a given period.

These games are then sorted by the program according to similarity with the starting position and displayed in a corresponding list:

The program sorts the list according to the similarity and if you now click on one of the games, the "critical" position is opened immediately. This offers further training options, e.g. direct practice via replay training or with a chess engine.
