Question: I have bought ChessBase17. I noticed that there is no new version of the player encyclopedia included.
Answer: Yes, there is no encyclopedia included in the download or on the DVD ROM. Most users use the option to access the current version of the Player's Encyclopedia directly via the server. The setting can be done directly under Options - Player encyclopedia, activate here the direct access to the player encyclopedia.
If you have purchased the game subscription for the current Mega, you have the possibility to download the Player's Encyclopedia and use it "offline".
This can be done via the menu "Start - Player Encyclopedia".
In the dialog there is now the entry " Updating Players".
Now you can download the data - provided you have a game subscription.
