When you start a new game with Fritz or Komodo/Dragon, the chessboard is usually automatically rotated by 180 degrees. So at every restart the white and the black pieces are built up alternately at the bottom of the screen. Is it possible to turn this off?

The setting can be changed under the program options in the section Game.

Menu File – Options - Game

There is the entry "Flip board on new game".

If you deactivate the option, the white pieces will always be placed at the bottom of the screen from the user's point of view for each new game.
