Interpretation of the reference display

Answer

Clicking on the Reference tab in the board window starts the opening reference in ChessBase.

In the background, the program performs a quick search in the reference database for the current board position and provides a lot of statistical information after each update of the board view. In the column entry Points the points scored with the game continuation are displayed in percentage.

When interpreting the results displayed in this column entry, it is important to note that the value always results from White's point of view and does not take into account which party is currently on the move.
