UCI Engine can not be installed

Question: I can not install the chess engine Stockfish. After downloading and extracting the files, I go to the file about "Create UCI Engine", but the installation does not start,or the engine is not accepted.

Answer: on the download page of the developers there are different engine versions, sorted by compatibility for the processor of the computer! This means that for example for the current Stockfish 15.1 there are different versions compiled for different processors. If you now want to install and use a version that is not compatible with your processor, the behavior you described will occur and the engine will not be integrated.

The easiest way for technically inexperienced users is to simply download the version for 64-bit systems with broad compatibility. According to the developers, it is slightly slower than the processor-optimized version, but in practice the user will be absolutely satisfied with the analysis results and will notice only minor performance differences.
