Visual display of attack relations

Answer

Many users appreciate an important commentary function of ChessBase, the visualization of certain force constellations with graphical markings on the chessboard. This option is also particularly popular for the demonstration of games, because it allows the user to quickly visualize the effects of forces. The graphical comments are of course set by the editor of the game notation.

Unannotated games of course do not contain any graphical annotation, in critical positions (alternatively for the complete game) the user can achieve an identical effect with a discreetly hidden support.

A click on the discreetly in the lower left corner of the chess board starts the corresponding selection menu:

Note: if the menu discussed here is not available, then activate the "New 2D board" option in the program settings.

The selection of the new 2D board is mandatory for the use of these functions!

The attack effects are marked either with arrows or with markings of the fields, the user can also combine the options.

The user can switch the selection on or off at any time during the replay.
