Searchbooster under ChessBase 17

Question: In the description of Chessbase 17 it says that a searchbooster is no longer needed. I have now set up the Mega 2023 and the program prompts me to create a search accelerator. Why should I create the searchbooster?

Answer: The searchbooster is no longer needed only if you convert the database to the new 2CBH format. Also, the new database should be the reference database. If you want to use the older CBH format for the reference database, then you should create the searchbooster. We recommend using the 2CBH format, which has many more structural advantages over the older format.
