A very convenient feature for owners of the newer FritzTrainer video courses is the option to view the contents of the purchased course directly in the browser on our video portal. So it is not necessary to watch the contents of the chess course with ChessBase Reader, ChessBase or one of the chess programs on the desktop. Through the video portal and with a valid ChessBase account, you can watch the content directly with your smartphone or tablet and be flexible in terms of time and location.
The new feature is generating widespread interest and raising typical questions. "How do I have to proceed so that I can watch the videos via the video portal?" or "I bought a FritzTrainer from my dealer.How can I watch the video on the video portal?"
Example 1: You have purchased a FritzTrainer directly from us and would like to watch it via video portal. Log in to the Onlineshop with your access data and check which products are streamable from your download area. If the serial number is directly linked to the ChessBase account, you can watch the stream directly via the video portal. The video course can now be watched easily on smartphones or tablets.
How to see which courses of the FritzTrainer series are available? Simply click on Products - FritzTrainers in the main screen of the video portal.
In the preview window of the streamable FritzTrainer you can immediately see if you have already purchased the video course. The server creates a link to your store account and recognizes that you have already paid for the course. In this case, the preview graphic is displayed without a price.
With one click you can now start the video course and play it directly in your browser.
The preview window gives you a small discreet hint in the form of a price indication that you have not yet purchased this course.
If you are interested, you have the option to start the purchase process directly via the video portal. To do so, simply click on the FritzTrainer entry displayed.
You will now be redirected to your store account where you can place your order as usual. After you have ordered and paid for a streamable course via the online store, you can watch the course directly in your browser.
Example2. You have purchased a FritzTrainer not directly from our online store, but from another retailer. How can you watch the course in our video portal?
In the first step please create a user account (ChessBase Account) in our Onlineshop. If you already have an account in the store, this step is not necessary.
Note: make sure that the name of the ChessBase account is the same as the name you use to access the store. If you use different names, you should have the accounts merged. If you have any problems with this, please do not hesitate to contact our support.
After you have created a store account, go to the "My Downloads" section. The window does not show any products yet, but now you have the possibility to add your externally purchased FritzTrainer to the list.
To do this, just click on the + symbol, the dialog " Add download " will now appear.
Now enter the serial number that you received from your dealer together with the FritzTrainer. After successful verification of the serial number, the download will automatically be added to the list under "My Downloads". This means that the new download - if available as a stream - is also available for use in the video portal.
Summary: the new function enables customers from other retailers to use our new streaming offer. For this, a serial number is mandatory, which was bought and resold by a dealer!
